Blockchain GDP measures how much the end users paid to interact with the chain's applications in a given period of time.

  • In Jan '25, users on the Base L2 spent ~$110m in total:

    • ~$96m on apps, and

    • ~$14m on L2 tx fees.

  • Aerodrome was the most fee-generating project on Base during 2024.

📣 New listings on Token Terminal

6 new projects have been listed on Token Terminal.

 Standardized listings (full listing with up to 15 metrics)

  1. Pharaoh, an exchange on Avalanche.

  2. GMX, a derivatives exchange on Avalanche and Arbitrum.

  3. Euler (on Base), a lending protocol on Ethereum and Base.

Basic listings (partial listing with up to 6 metrics)

  1. Abstract, an L2 blockchain on Ethereum with a focus on consumer apps.

  3. Venice, a generative AI app (similar to ChatGPT) on Base.

📦 New features on Token Terminal

Our new custom number formatter is live. As a result, users can now customize the number formatting to match their preferences for easier sorting and readability.

The numbers can be displayed

  1. in full,

  2. abbreviated (e.g., 1,000 like an S-1), or

  3. truncated (e.g., 4.2B or 1.5T) format.

Users can adjust the number formatting settings from their user profile in the top right corner by selecting “Formatting”.
