CHART OF THE WEEK
BlackRock’s BUIDL fund nears $2B AUM

  • BUIDL is BlackRock’s tokenized money market fund, launched on Ethereum Mainnet in March 2024. It later expanded to OP Mainnet, Arbitrum, Polygon, Avalanche, Aptos, and, most recently, Solana.

  • The fund earns yield through investments in U.S. Treasury bills, repurchase agreements, and cash equivalents—similar to a traditional money market fund.

  • This month alone, BUIDL’s assets under management (AUM) rose from $620M to $1.96B, with 88% of the AUM held on Ethereum Mainnet.
